Utopia Homeowners Security Association

Dear Neighbors,

It’s come to the Board’s attention that many Utopia membership signs are faded or in need of replacement.  Very soon, you may see the volunteers from the Utopia Board on your street, starting to replace all existing members’ Utopia signs.

Why

1) Our Utopia membership signs represent our association to the community. We want to ensure our brand is clear and visible.

2)  To better reflect our associations mission as a security association, we recently migrated our website URL from utopiahoa.com to utopiahsa.com. Our new signs will be updated to include this new email address.

What Can I expect?

The general appearance of the sign will remain the same – size, logo, and reflective surface.

This update will occur in phases. Board members who have volunteered to help replace signs will be working street by street to make these changes (weather permitting).

What action is required from members?

Nothing! The board will remove both the metal stake and attached sign and it replace it with new ones on your behalf.

Note: Please remove any other placards you may have attached to the stake that you wish to keep.

Dear Neighbors,

We hope everyone had a wonderful summer!  We are writing to let you know that Utopia has recently updated its payment software to QuickBooks online.

What does this mean for you?

If you pay membership dues with a credit card and the current card on file is expired or no longer valid, you may receive an email from our accountant, Rachel Boharic, at Rachel@BoharicCPA.com asking you to update your information. In a few instances, your member profile may not have been updated with the most current credit card information and it may be requested for future automatic payments.

For those members currently receiving invoices via regular US mail, these invoices will now be sent via email from quickbooks@notification.intuit.com. This email is not spam.  A new feature within the software includes the option to pay your invoice using the link provided in the email via a secure QuickBooks site. Of course, the option remains if you prefer to send a check instead.

If you need assistance or prefer to contact us directly to provide new payment information you can email our accountant, Rachel Boharic, at Rachel@BoharicCPA.com or call her at (954) 483-0590.  We continue to provide our personalized service so either Rachel or myself will be contacting those whose credit card information we need to be updated.

We have a couple of important updates to share with you:  

First, the association would like to announce 4 new members from Kent Ct.   With the addition of these new members, we have expanded our geography a bit to include  a portion of Kent Ct, just the cul-de-sac  south of Poinciana.   Please welcome our four new members.

Second, as you already know, we have  been utilizing Elite Security to enhance our current  patrol coverage.  In the last two months, they have proven themselves to be a strong  partner for our city police patrols.   We have now added Elite Security and have assigned them some permanent patrols.  Our police patrol coverage remains the same but we have added some additional weekly hours with Elite.   This hybrid concept of security patrols will  allow  Utopia to be  more flexible  in our ability to add or change coverage as warranted.

As a reminder,  if you need to call the patrol, our current cell number will be used  for  both the police and Elite.  However, always in an emergency, dial 911 first.    Please join the board in  welcoming Elite Security.
